Anyone who sees the borebug and is unaffected by the replican is seeded by the borebug.

The borebug seeds itself in the host waiting until they are bored.

When the host is bored they will be encouraged by the borebug to look again at the Replican carrying media with some variation of the thought:

“What was that thing I saw earlier?”
