To seal your prayer ritual, give the following decree affirming “I AM Light.” As you give it, visualize yourself enfolded in the white light of God that descends from your I AM Presence, as depicted in the Chart of Your Divine Self. As one thirteenth-century Kabbalist advised, “imagine you are light”: Whatever one implants firmly in the mind becomes the essential thing. So if you pray and offer a blessing to God, or if you wish your intention to be true, imagine you are light. All around you—in every corner and on every side—is light. Turn to your right, and you will find shining light; to your left, splendor, a radiant light. Between them, up above, the light of the Presence. Surrounding that, the light of life. Above it all, a crown of light—crowning the aspirations of thought, illumining the paths of imagination, spreading the radiance of vision. This light is unfathomable and endless.[435]
“I AM” is capitalized in the “I AM Light” decree because each time you say, “I AM...,” you are really affirming, “God in me is....” And whatever you affirm following the words “I AM” will become a reality, for the light of God flowing through you will obey that command. I AM light,
glowing light,
Radiating light,
intensified light.
God consumes my darkness,
Transmuting it into light.
This day I AM a focus of the Central Sun.* Flowing through me is a crystal river,
A living fountain of light
That can never be qualified
By human thought and feeling.
I AM an outpost of the divine.
Such darkness as has used me is swallowed up By the mighty river of light which I AM. I AM, I AM, I AM light;
I live, I live, I live in light.
I AM light’s fullest dimension;
I AM light’s purest intention.
I AM light, light, light
Flooding the world everywhere I move,
Blessing, strengthening and conveying
